This is a wonderful exploration of American Liturature beginning with the early Native American creation story, "The World On The Turtle's Back" and continuing on with great American author including Thoreau, Poe, Twain, Wharton, Pound, and Eliot among others. The course places an emphasis on the understanding of vocabulary, dialect, and other critical elements of American literature.
