Tai Chi (Tai Ji)

Tai Chi (or Tai Ji) is one of the major styles of Chinese martial arts and Kung Fu. It utilizes the ancient philosophy of Yin-Yang and the Five Element theories for its foundation and its training principles. Centuries of experience and practice has shown that practicing Tai Ji can improve ones’ health. This Tai Ji course will help learners understand the merits of Tai Ji and enjoy the benefits of practicing simplified Tai Ji forms. Topics to be covered include relaxation techniques, meditation and philosophy, the 24 simplified Tai Ji forms, and Qi and its directed flow. The class is taught in English. A discount code is available for (1) those taking multiple CI courses at the same time or in last semester, (2) CSU undergraduate/graduate students, and (3) community members 60 years old or above.
