Brain Health & Cognitive Aging   NEW!

Brain health is at the forefront of hot topics today across a variety of industries and has received recent attention worldwide and nationally from healthcare providers, practitioners, researchers, and scientists. Brain Health refers to an individual’s ability to: remember, learn, plan, problem-solve, concentrate, and maintain a clear mind. Brain health is conceptualized in terms of cognitive aging including: attention, memory, decision-making, and language perception and comprehension. Cognitive aging is a lifelong process and can have both positive and negative effects on cognition and brain health. Although normal cognitive changes occur in the brain as we age, it is important to understand cognitive aging and brain health from a life course perspective.

This workshop aims to debunk the common myths of aging associated with cognition and brain health while offering practitioners resources to promote optimal brain health and wellness for clients.
