This class is designed to give a deeper understanding of the controls and functions of a Digital SLR and full-feature point-and-shoot camera. Learn how these controls can be used to take control of the camera rather than just setting the camera on automatic and hoping for a “happy accident”. We will also learn how to improve photographs through an awareness of visual compositional elements and strategies and through the use of digital editing techniques. Follow this class up with Digital Photography II to really sharpen your skills!
Students, please bring your Digital SLR or manually adjustable digital point-and-shoot camera to class (required). Some form of digital editing software, such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop Elements or Photoshop CC is suggested but not necessary.
