Textile Painting: Acrylics
Are you intrigued with the idea of creating your own designer fabrics but hesitate because of the complexity and mess of dyeing. Learn how to transform your textiles simply by using Acrylic paints, mediums and gels. I will share with you a whole range of techniques that can be used to create incredible surfaces while unraveling the mystery of acrylic! Whether you choose to use your fabrics for art to wear, sculpture, book making or 2 dimensional art, this workshop will open your eyes to a whole new approach.

You will create samples of each product, process & technique; each detail will be documented, creating a reference that will prove to be an invaluable resource for all future projects.

All products graciously provided by Golden Artist Colors.

Most other supplies & tools provided by instructor.

Artists should bring the following: - pre-cut white (or light colored) fabric (Light –medium weight, variety of fiber contents & textures, 24-36 pieces, range of sizes no smaller than 4”, no larger than 8”)

- paper towels

- Paint palette (you may even use recycled plastic cups, lids, Styrofoam trays, etc.)
