Learn to code with plugged and unplugged activities that will teach your child how to think computationally, problem solve logically and have a ton of fun completing challenges. Every day, we’ll explore a new resource to learn to code. Students will create programs to solve problems and develop simple games and stories. No previous coding experience required. Limited space available.

The Digital DJ Camp, developed in partnership with Dr. Chuck Rainey & John Anthony Martinez's 'Rhythm Intensive', will introduce your camper to the science behind music, rhythm basics, coding and digital music, and ultimately teaches them to code their
own beats using Sonic Pi! Campers go behind the sounds of our favorite tunes to see how science, technology, mathematics, and engineering are utilized to create music today. Using theory and programming tools like Sonic Pi, campers can express themselves like never before.

Exclusively for our tiny engineers. Join us for a week-long journey through tinkering, building and engineering fun! This inspiring summer experience provides opportunities for a variety of hands-on exploration of STEM principles - science, technology, engineering and more. Campers will learn how to build their own games, explore rockets, robots and more!

Discover engineering at its finest in our dynamic camp! Participants will explore the essence of engineering, develop a solution-problem mindset, and delve into various disciplines like industrial, aerospace, computer, geo-technical, water resource, mechanical, robotics, and energy engineering. Led by industry experts, this hands-on experience prepares campers to tackle real-world challenges with creativity and innovation.

A full week of making, tinkering, building and playing! Using a variety of tools and materials, they will explore circuits and electricity. Campers will construct dc motors and explore their power by making their own propeller cars, robots and more. Using the principles of engineering, camp goers will learn how to imagine, design, create, and build.

 

In this introductory camp, campers will go beyond playing games and get a behind-the-scenes experience, learning the art and science of game development. With hands-on projects, campers will be exposed to many digital tools used today for game creation such as Scratch. Each game created throughout the week will start small and grow exponentially along with skills learned! By the
end of the week, campers will really see that making games are more fun than playing them!

Endless tracks and obstacle courses await every Hot Wheel’s car lover as they discover the world of math and physical science. What goes up must come down…or does it? Momentum, push, pull, force, and friction are just some of the STEM concepts they will understand. Measuring length and weight in centimeters, inches, feet, and ounces will help in the identification of the fastest, most efficient car on the block. Mega Loop Mayhem, Shark Cliff Hanger, Wolf Mountain, and hundreds of cars are just some of the play equipment that will have you yearning to come each day! Your child will not only have a solid background in science and math concepts, but will have also rolled away in good times with Hot Wheels!

Come and exercise your Lego skills here in ways you haven’t done before! The unique collection of Lego kits not found in stores and special STEM projects will captivate minds. Careful guidance from a Texas certified teacher will allow students to flourish with ideas and overcome obstacles. Individual and team projects will provide opportunities for your child to expand their creativity and social skills as they work toward common goals. This class will surely inspire all Lego enthusiasts.

No builder can say “Lego my Lego!” when engaged in the creative activities of LEGO MANIA! This innovative program for Lego buffs provides opportunities for imagination and hands-on learning under the guidance of a certified educator. Over 15 new games, projects and activities not found in stores will be planned and manipulated. Enrichment in the areas of personal creativity, following instructions, eye-hand coordination, problem solving, critical thinking and learning will be experienced as the child has the opportunity to construct dinosaurs, rockets, castles, airplanes, forts, cars, and more!

Learn conditionals, functions, coordinates and more in block-based coding and JavaScript.  Students will Design an original creative project to program four tools for a survival backpack to help them in a Minecraft world.

Young scientists will dive into the fascinating world of science through crazy and fun experiments that run a scientific continuum. They will have the opportunity to conduct mind-blowing experiments, like flame tests, water purification experiments, exploring magnetism, solar energy, chemical reactions, some animal dissections and participate in exciting STEM challenges!

Snapology is calling all gamers! Have a blast creating robotic games while learning about robotics. Students will learn about gear ratio, sensors, programming, and pulleys as they create fun to play games. Whether creating a robotic hockey player, pinball machine, or a ring toss, your child is sure to have fun building, learning, and playing with robotics this summer.
