Join Skyhawks for an exciting introduction to Field Hockey, a sport with global appeal! Our fun, inclusive program, developed with USA Field Hockey, teaches basics like stickhandling and Passing in a game-based environment. Perfect for boys and girls, this program is your child's gateway to a new sport. All participants-will receive a field hockey stick and ball from USA Field Hockey and three free months of online training from LEAP Hockey, the leader in online field hockey training. Participants should bring a water bottle, two snacks, sunscreen (outdoor camps only) and wear appropriate athletic attire. Every child receives an award certificate and Skyhawks t-shirt.

Skyhawks Beginning Golf is powered by Payne Stewart Golf Experiences, the recommended entry-level golf program for PGA Junior
Golf Camps. The unique, games-based play program and modified learning equipment make it easier for kids to hit the ball and
experience early success. Putting, chipping, pitching and full swing, are all taught through games, simple repetitive motions and
learning rhymes that make it easy for young kids to remember and repeat. Specially designed, age-appropriate golf equipment is
provided. Participants should bring a water bottle, two snacks, sunscreen (outdoor camps only) and wear appropriate athletic attire. Every child receives an award certificate and Skyhawks t-shirt.

HCK Summer Camp will include techniques for beginners, light contact point sparring (tag), training in traditional safety weapons and principles of falling and rolling from Judo. Monday/Tuesday of the week will focus on the beginner techniques that our students learn as white belts. Wednesday class will concentrate on the sport application of these techniques through point sparring with all safety equipment being supplied for the students. Thursday will include training with various traditional martial arts weapons like bo staff, nunchucks, short sword and Kama (sickle) with weapons made of polypropylene plastic for safety. Friday will be spent learning the art of correct falling and rolling with a few basic sweeps from the sport of Judo. These camps are high energy and fast paced learning environments that provide children with a broad introduction to sport martial arts. Every participant that completes the entire week will receive a certificate of rank from Hill Country Karate that will allow them to join our normal  fall classes hosted within the school district at the rank of Yellow belt.

Participants will receive training in Tang Soo Do, an ancient martial art that originated 2,000 years ago in Korea. Hill Country Karate primary goal is to develop students mentally & physically by focusing on attitude, respect and discipline.  Training focuses on developing self-esteem, confidence, discipline and respect for others.
