French for Travelers
The class will present a few very basic grammatical structures (forming sentences, asking questions, making requests) and will give students essential vocabulary for dealing with the practical situations tourists encounter in Francophone countries: ordering food/drink in a café or restaurant, shopping, traveling by train, bus or subway, securing lodging, sightseeing. Large and small group work, grammatical and pronunciation exercises, role-playing. Text: Berlitz Essential French with Audio CD, Berlitz Publishing (2nd edition) (paperback). Limit: 20
