Architectural Landmarks in Downtown Minneapolis  

Many of the Twin Cities' most significant architectural landmarks are located in Downtown Minneapolis. This course will visit and tour a number of key architectural sites including Minneapolis City Hall, the IDS Building, the Wells Fargo Tower, the Orpheum and State theaters and the new Cowles Center for the Dance. Class discussions will continue during lunch at downtown restaurants. The first session on January 9 will meet at the Mill City Museum at 710 South 2nd Street. Limit: 30 5 sessions: Jan. 9-Feb. 6 Iric Nathanson is an OLLI member and local historian. He is the author of Minneapolis in the Twentieth Century, the Growrth of An American City, published by Minnesota Historical Society Press.
