Bird Migration   NEW!

Explore birding history, equipment, strategies, and how our observations can be used in a modern science setting. Images from the instructor’s photo galleries will provide an identification warm-up. We will also explore Ebird and its assets. The first two meetings will be indoors in a lecture, discussion format. The last six weeks we will meet at birding sites in and around the Metro area. Discussion will continue in the field. There will be an optional Friday bird banding observation at a local nature area and a possible week-end trip out of the Metro area. Fitness requirements may vary at each site; please communicate physical limitations to the instructor.
