This class will examine such issues as the meaning of God, the Bible, Jesus, faith, and the Christian life as understood by both conservatives and liberals. We hope to shed light on both sides of the cultural war. The Heart of Christianity by Marcus Borg is required text. Read chapter 1 before the first class. Limit: 20 Earl Johnson, Instructor Thursdays, Mar. 28–May 16, 10:00-11:30 a.m. Lake Harriet Methodist Church, 4901 Chowen Ave South, Minneapolis
