Bookend: The Glass Menagerie  

Tennessee Williams’ first great success, and the play that catapulted him to the status of America’s foremost dramatist, The Glass Menagerie is recognized as one of the great American plays. Certainly it is one of the greatest examinations of family dynamics of the 20th century. The Yellow Tree Theatre in Osseo will present the play April 12–May 6. The first class meeting will focus on the background, themes, and structure of the play as well as the career of Tennessee Williams. The second meeting will continue the discussion of the merits of the play in today’s society and cover elements of the production. Reserve tickets at 763-493-8733.
