Sunshine Boys

For 43 years, Willie Clark and Al Lewis were an acclaimed vaudeville act, The Sunshine Boys. When Lewis retired, the act ended and the two men haven’t spoken since. Now, CBS wants to bring The Sunshine Boys together for a television special. The men reluctantly agree to reunite, until old beefs emerge again, threatening to end more than the television special. Neil Simon’s plays have been popular and critical successes all over the world for the better part of the past five decades. The Sunshine Boys premiered on Broadway in 1973 and was made into a film two years later starring Walter Matthau and George Burns. With comic dream team Raye Birk and Peter Michael Goetz in the Guthrie’s production, The Sunshine Boys is likely to be one of the hottest – and most hilarious – tickets in town. Limit: 30 Guthrie Staff 2 sessions: Tuesdays, July 10 & 31, 12:30-2 p.m. The Kenwood, 825 Summit Ave, Mpls
