Citizen's Academy  

Citizen’s Academy–The Criminal Court Process and the Community This four-part series will introduce students to the criminal court process and its relationship to the communities the criminal justice system serves. We will take you through the process from arrest through sentencing, using guest speakers from law enforcement, prosecution, the criminal defense bar, and probation. This course will not only educate you on the process itself, but it will also give you an opportunity to ask questions about the criminal justice system and receive answers from those who work in the system every day.This course is open to the public and is co-sponsered by the Woman’s Club of Minneapolis and the Minneapolis City Attorney’s office.
