Seeing As An Artist Sees: Developing Visual Literacy

If you've developed the habit of looking at things just long enough to recognize them, then speeding off to see something else (like most of us) -- this class is for you. You'll learn to see better and more in this unique class that introduces the Visual Vocabulary and principles of art and design in a supportive, non-intimidating group exploration of our visual world. We'll work with found images from various print media to make collages that illustrate the Visual Vocabulary elements as well as art and design principles. We'll learn by doing, largely using our right brain powers. No art skill or training is necessary to discover your own creativity in this class taught by the instructors who have been told that their class is a life-changing experience. At any rate, you'll never look at things the same old way again!
