Digital Storytelling

Do you have a story to tell? Do you have experiences that you would like to share with your friends and family? How would you like to record your memoirs and life experience and make a movie out of them? In this 8-week workshop we take your stories (fact or fiction) and use simple (and free) software tools to combine photos, images, music and audio narrative to tell your story. At the end of this exciting workshop you will have a piece of your life documented in a way you never imagined. Students will work towards publishing a final video project to a DVD/Web (YouTube and others). Enrollment Prerequisite: To enroll in this class, you must first contact the instructor David Casuto at dave@senior-surf.org. David will discuss with you the course requirements in detail and the preparations needed prior to attending the first class meeting. About the Instructor: David Casuto is Founder of Senior Surf, a nonprofit organization that enlightens older adults to the wonders of computer technology. He realized his dream to create an organization that bridges the "silver-divide" to get those 55 and better savvy at Internet navigation, digital photography, photo editing, mastering email, building a website, Microsoft Word and other tricks of the trade.
