Managing People with Autism
NEW!
People with autism can be incredibly productive workers. A listing of “Who’s Who” in the information technology industry would feature many people who fit the “autistic spectrum” criteria for Asperger’s syndrome or Autistic Disorder. Many people on the Autism Spectrum have extremely high technical skills paired with extremely low social and emotional capabilities. This workshop provides strategies for in-office assessment for the presence of autistic-like features in an employee as well as “work-around” strategies for communicating with people on the spectrum so as to bring out the brilliance they often possess. For managers at all levels in the organization. The instructor has 30 years of experience pioneering psychotherapeutic techniques for people with autism and Asperger’s syndrome and is the author of four books. Three (3) Clock Hours for educators available. Please inform staff when registering at 206-533-6700. Taught by George Lynn, M.A., M.P.A., L.M.H.C.
