Security: SQL Server Forensic Analysis  

As hackers become more sophisticated, those who defend against them must as well. This course addresses the issue of SQL Server security and what to do if you suspect a breach. You will learn to identify unauthorized access and to retrace an intruder’s actions through the SQL Server database. This course also presents very advanced administration techniques and reveals the “back door” methods of accessing data and servers in order to develop an effective defense.

Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
  • Identify most unauthorized access into a SQL Server
  • Determine if the SQL Server data has been compromised
  • Identify, extract, and analyze database evidence
  • Build a complete SQL Server Forensic Response Toolkit
  • Detect and Disable SQL Server Rootkits
  • Identify and Recover DELETED SQL Server Data
Audience: SQL Server administrators or programmers and all levels of forensic Investigators
Recommended prerequisites: some SQL Server administration or programming knowledge
