During six hours of instruction, students will learn and practice two techniques for creating quilt blocks on paper.
Week one will focus on making a quilt block by sewing fabric to a pre-printed paper foundation.
Week two will focus on making a quilt block by strip-sewing fabric onto unprinted paper.
Students will use “Cartwheels Quilt” pattern (see sample blocks in photo above) by Freshly Pieced to make blocks on pre-printed papers. Unprinted blocks may be made as desired, to create a project of your choosing. A supply list will be emailed prior to the first class. Cartwheels pattern available at the first class for $8. The instructor will provide project guidance, as well as foundation papers.
Bring fabrics, rotary cutting supplies, and a sewing machine to both lessons.
