Photography: Advance Your Skills

Camera Lens
Are you looking to become the next Steve McCurry? If you’ve got the basics down, this course will take your photography skills to the next level in order to take high-quality pictures. Explore the topic of pre-visualization and learn how to approach any subject or scene with a photographer’s eye. You’ll learn more about how lighting, both inside and outside, can produce a flattering portrait. Other advanced photography
concepts such as spot metering and flash bouncing will be discussed and practiced.

Be sure to bring a film or digital camera. Single-lens, reflex cameras, with manual-exposure controls and interchangeable lenses, are preferred.

Please purchase the textbook, The Basic Book of Photography, 2004 Edition ISBN# 0-452-28425-2.
