Super Saturday Seminar- History and the Common Core    NEW!

Kay Bland, Butler Center/CALS K-12 Education Coordinator, will review content in this FREE event from three eras of Arkansas history based on exhibits on display in the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies and free digital primary sources to assist educators in meeting their Common Core State Standards implementation needs.

The Arkansas history topics will include Civil War in Arkansas, Great Depression in Arkansas and the Japanese Relocation Camps in Arkansas. Additionally, a few of the free resources that will be reviewed include the Encyclopedia of Arkansas History and Culture and an online resource called the Arkansas History Hub.

Teachers can earn up to two hours or 2 PDUs of Arkansas History Professional Development!
