Beginning Tai Chi

Looking for an exercise that targets the body and the mind? Consider the ancient Chinese practice of Tai Chi, an exercise designed for health meditation and self-defense. Often described as meditation in motion, Tai chi involves a series of slow, graceful movements accompanied by deep breathing. As you learn and perform the first section of the Wu family slow set, you will increase your flexibility, muscle strength, and balance, while reducing stress and anxiety.

The emphasis in this course will be on health and relaxation, although you will also be exposed to the self-defense application of each move.

The class is open to people of all levels. Instruction in this course can be adapted for anyone with special needs.
