Do the ROT Thing!
Have you ever wondered what makes autumn leaves decompose? Would you like to know how to speed up this process? Have you ever considered building a worm bin? Then this workshop is for you.
Join other educators for a
six-hour workshop
exploring composting and how composting activities can be used to meet Arkansas Curriculum Frameworks for grades 7-12.
Professionals from the
Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality
will provide background information and lead you through hands-on activities you can use in your classroom.
You’ll go home with a better understanding of the composting process, plus a CD of lessons, a
Project Learning Tree Municipal Solid Waste Manual
and other resources to help you use composting to teach a variety of subjects.
