Voices in Opposition: The New Women's Movement
The 2016 election and resulting policy moves have drawn the attention of female voters who have mobilized in protest. Belinda Southard will provide an overview of the recent activism, and curators at Hargrett Library will conduct a tour of an exhibit documenting the Women's Marches of 2017-2018. The display, which is open through April 2019, uses recently obtained items including protest posters, ephemera, and photographs documenting the marches, as well as publications reporting on each event and the worldwide impact.
