Telling Real Stories From Your Life

This is a fun class with lots of interaction. Participants will learn storytelling techniques such as creating evocative imagery, types of nonverbal communication and how they enrich stories, and storytelling resources for those who want to pursue telling and writing stories beyond the class. The first session will focus on ways to bring your story alive, as well as story development and story ideas. For the second session, class participants can tell their own stories and get feedback in a warm, supportive environment. Working without manuscripts is encouraged, but it is possible to incorporate written notes or keywords if desired.
