OLLI@UGA: Our Early Years

OLLI@UGA began its life as a gleam in the eye of Judith DeJoy at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. This led to a well-publicized exploratory public meeting in the summer of 1994 "for the incorrigibly curious retirement age adult." That fall over 100 charter members elected officers, founded Learning in Retirement and initiated the first classes! We will explore the ups and downs, mostly ups, of the first years of our ever-more-successful organization.
