An Insider's View of Medical Cannabis In Georgia

Allen Peake sponsored Haleigh's Hope Act in 2015 that established a registry legalizing possession of low THC cannabis oil for limited medical purposes. Today approximately 700 physicians prescribe medical cannabis to about 10,000 Georgia patients. Forty-six states now have some form of medical cannabis law in their code and 31 states permit some form of cultivation. There is still a conflict with federal law which prohibits transport across state lines. Where should Georgia go from here?
