Athens African American History in Words and Portraits

Visual artist Broderick Flanigan will display an array of his portraits of significant African Americans in Athens history. Athens Black History Committee chair and retired District Director of the Georgia Department of Labor Fred Smith will draw on his experience as an activist, journalist, and resident of the Athens community to provide important information about many of these individuals.
