Animal Rescue in the Athens Area: How Anyone Can Get Involved

Athens is a dog (and cat!) loving town, but pet overpopulation still plagues our community. Thankfully, there are multiple nonprofits and shelters in the Athens area that are dedicated to resolving this issue through spay/neuter programs, education, and innovative efforts that help ensure better outcomes for shelter and community pets and wildlife. This class introduces participants to the many animal welfare efforts already underway in our area and spotlights ways to become involved.
