Historic Droughts and Floods in Georgia

This class will look at past extreme droughts and floods in Georgia in historical context, including causes of wet and dry weather in the Southeast and how floods and droughts are measured. Georgia's history of drought plans will also be reviewed. The class will conclude with a discussion of how the climate is changing over time and how this might affect the occurrence of floods and droughts in the future.
