Membership Benefits Explained Renew or Become a Member
Are you an adult age 50 or better? You can become a part of the UMass Boston OLLI community. No previous college experience is needed– just curiosity and a desire to learn and experience new things. With OLLI, your life experience is what counts!

Time and money are valuable. To that end, three membership options have been designed that we hope allow folks to experience OLLI in a way that best suits their needs and availability. Each membership category is eligible for specific OLLI programs and other related benefits.

Financial Assistance. Thanks to the generosity of donors, a limited number of scholarships is available. To learn more or apply for a scholarship, please email the OLLI Office.

Membership Options At-A-Glance

General Membership
Term: 7/1/2026 - 6/30/2027

Fee: $70.00
This general membership would allow folks to participate in many of the social-educational components that OLLI offers such theatre, day trips, presentations, travel, Shared Interest Groups, special events, and summer programs. This membership level would not be eligible to take OLLI courses.

OLLI Carte Membership
Term: 7/1/2026 - 6/30/2027

Fee: $120.00
The OLLI Carte membership is designed for folks who may only wish to take one or two courses a year. For this category, you pay for each course ($45/course) that you get into. There are no extra fees associated with registering and attending OLLI Talks or Walking Tours; those are already included in the pricing. As an OLLI Carte member, you also have access to the other programs such as theatre, day trips, travel, Shared Interest Groups, special events, and our summer programs.

Full Membership
Term: 7/1/2026 - 6/30/2027

Fee: $285.00
A Full Membership allows you to take courses, OLLI Talks and Walking Tours at no additional charge. You can take as many courses as you can get into. The Full membership category allows you to also enjoy all the other benefits of being an OLLI member such as access to our travel and day trip programs, theatre outings, social events, and many more. Some of these will have additional costs associated with them.

Trial Semester Membership
Term: 7/1/2026 - 12/31/2026

Fee: $150.00
This is our introductory membership option for brand new membersand allows you to have a full OLLI experience for one semester (fall or spring). At the end of the trial semester, you would be able to apply the fee towards a full-year membership. A person can only join once as a trial member.
