About OLLI Membership

Are you a seasoned adult 50 or better? You can become a part of the UMass Boston OLLI community. No previous college experience is needed– just curiosity and a desire to learn and experience new things. With OLLI, your life experience is what counts!

OLLI at UMass Boston offers three membership options to fit every budget and level of interest. Each membership category is eligible for specific OLLI programs and other related benefits. To see a visual graphic of OLLI's membership categories, please click the below button:

Membership Benefits Explained

Membership Categories

Time and money are valuable. To that end, three membership options have been designed that we hope allow folks to experience OLLI in a way that best suits their needs and availability.

Financial Assistance. Thanks to the generosity of donors, a limited number of scholarships is available. To learn more or apply for a scholarship, please email the OLLI Office.

Currently, online payments are not accepted. OLLI is in the final stages of making that service available to members in order to pay their membership online. In the meantime, please download the membership form and mail back with your payment.

General Membership
Term: 1/1/2025 - 12/31/2025

Fee: $65.00
The General Membership allows folks to participate in many of the social-educational components that OLLI offers such theatre, day trips, travel, Shared Interest Groups, special events, and our winter and summer programs. As a General member, you have the option to attend an OLLI Talk or Walking Tour on a per item fee basis ($15/Talk or Walk). This membership level would not be eligible to take OLLI courses.

OLLI Carte Membership
Term: 1/1/2025 - 12/31/2025

Fee: $120.00
The OLLI Carte membership is designed for folks who may only wish to take one or two courses a year. For this category, you pay for each course ($40/course) that you get into. There are no extra fees associated with registering and attending OLLI Talks or Walking Tours; those are already included in the pricing. As an OLLI Carte member, you also have access to the other programs such as theatre, day trips, travel, Shared Interest Groups, special events, and our winter and summer programs.

Full Membership
Term: 1/1/2025 - 12/31/2025

Fee: $245.00
A Full Membership allows you to take courses, OLLI Talks and Walking Tours at no additional charge. You can take as many courses as you can get into. The Full membership category allows you to also enjoy all the other benefits of being an OLLI member such as access to our travel and day trip programs, theatre outings, social events, and many more. Some of these will have additional costs associated with them.
