Introduction to Meditation
Whether boosting concentration, relieving anxiety and stress, or improving sleep, the benefits of meditation and mindfulness are as varied as they are helpful. But how exactly does one take the first step toward meditating effectively? In this class, you will receive guided meditation practice for a variety of different forms of meditation, including breath meditation, meditation in the body, walking meditation, eating meditation, and more, along with time for discussion, questions, and teachings that will help to reinforce each lesson. After just six weeks, you will have everything you need to establish a regular meditation practice. In the words of Thích Nhất Hạnh: "Happiness is available. Please help yourself to it."
