French for Travelers 2: Ordering a French Meal

Continue to explore French menu choices (Part 1 not required). Review and amplify basic French pronunciation and grammar necessary to decipher a French menu. Learn how to find recommended eating places in Paris, make reservations and pay the appropriate tip. We will use authentic French materials such as menus, magazines, weekly guides and maps. Final class will feature a tasting comparison with content agreed upon by class members. Recommended book and CD (available online for student purchase): the Berlitz Speaking Your Language French Phrase Book (approx. $13).
