Phi Theta Kappa is the largest honor society in American higher education with more than 2.5 million members and 1,275 chapters located in all 50 of the United States, U.S. territories, British Virgin Islands (U.K.), Canada, Germany, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, United Arab Emirates, and the Republic of Palau. The average age of a new member is 28. The average Phi Theta Kappa member is enrolled full-time with a GPA of 3.8.
The Yavapai College chapter of PTK is working towards becoming a Five Star Chapter by involving themselves in more of the recognized activities of the national organizational level of PTK.
April 12-14, 2012, marks the dates for Phi Theta Kappa's annual convention - this year in Nashville, Tennessee, at the Gaylor Opryland Resort & Convention Center. This year's theme is Be a Star.
