Beginning Russian, Level 2

 For those who have completed Beginning Russian or the equivalent (approx. 15 hours of Russian language study), this Level 2 Russian course develops stronger conversational skills through speaking and listening activities and extends grammar and reading skills. Emphasis is on speaking and reading elementary Russian. It is well suited to those intending to visit Russia or wishing to communicate at an elementary level with Russian speakers using basic grammar and vocabulary for everyday situations. The importance of correct pronunciation and developing a “Russian accent” is stressed. Each lesson covers different lexical themes such as arriving at the airport, eating out or going shopping using oral and reading exercises based on themes. Everyone takes an active part with time for individualized attention. Handouts provided.
