Learn to Code for Beginners   NEW!

Everyone can learn to code! In this introduction to software coding, we will be using Microsoft Small Basic to cover text-based coding that’s easy and fun to learn. This class acts as a starting point, before our Basic Programming Essentials course, to offer a very slow and easy ramp into coding. Take the class if you want to (1) Understand computer science better and how to work with developers, (2) Pursue business-related or support jobs in the technology industry, (3) Explore a potential career in development in the easiest way possible, (4) Prepare for more complicated languages (Java, Python, C#) with an easy and gentle learning slope, or to (5) Simply learn an important skill for the future. Parents are encouraged to take this class with their students. Come build your software coding future!

Bring your own device, with a keyboard. Windows 7 or higher is required, but code can be written and run on non-Windows devices using the Small Basic website. Basic computer proficiency is required.
