    REGISTRATION FOR THIS CLASS IS CLOSED. This class is already in session.

    This class will cover birding fundamentals in four classroom sessions and culminate in a Saturday field trip to Capitol Lake. You will learn how to identify common local species using a field guide and binoculars. We will also explore avian morphology, ecology and classification. The Saturday, May 31, field trip will meet at the dancing fountain at Heritage Park. Please bring a notebook and pen/pencil to class. Binoculars and field guide for birds of western North America are recommended. We will review recommendations for purchasing binoculars and field guides on the first day of class. Some binoculars and field guides will also be available to borrow.
