This is an in-depth breakdown of the position of 1st Assistant Director. We break down the position into two phases - preproduction and production. Breaking the process down into six stages taught over six classes can allow anyone wishing to produce a feature film to have a solid game plan and access to someone who has done it multiple times. From concept to distribution, this six-week course will provide a basic understanding of what is needed to get your film not just made, but out into the world.

In this two night workshop, you'll learn what to consider when budgeting for your film. We'll walk through a script together and breakdown the needs of the production based on locations, crew, gear as other items that are too often not considered. You'll be provided with a short script at the end of night one, and on night two you'll present your budget for feedback from the instructor and classmates.

We’ll discuss how to evaluate a script and determine how many days to plan for considering locations, shots, and logistics, as well as how to optimize your shooting schedules. You'll be provided with a short script at the end of night one, and on night two you'll present your schedule  for feedback from the instructor and classmates.
