Spanish Beginner I is designed for the student who has NO prior knowledge of Spanish and has not been exposed to the language. The objective is to master listening comprehension and basic communication skills. By learning vocabulary, word order, the sound system, and the fundamentals of grammar, students begin to communicate. Conversations include culture, customs, history, and traditions to enable the student to understand the background of the language. Emphasis is on listening and speaking.
