Handbuilding/Sculpture, Beg/Int - Webber  

Students begin to work with handbuilding techniques in clay such as coils, slabs, punch, molds, and textures. Intermediate students will fine-tune techniques for creating pottery and sculptural work. This class will explore many methods, emphasize design, and encourage creativity. Advanced students are always welcome to continue their exploration with handbuilding. Instruction is provided as needed on individual projects.

*Learn techniques working in clay to build pottery using coils and slabs. This is designed for those new to clay and those who want to continue their study and fine tune their techniques. Advanced students are always welcome.
*Kiln size determines piece size and firing schedule. Quantities at instructor discretion.
Supply list: Basic pottery Kit: fettling knife, pin tool, sponge, wooden angled knife, metal rib, two various sizes ribbon trim tools. Apron, towel, plastic bags, soft hair watercolor brushes a few sizes 12, 6, 1 , hake brush 1", sumi brush, pencil, sketch note book.
*there will be other things used working with clay that can be gotten at students discretion and depending on projects.

Register early to avoid disappointment, as classes will fill up quickly!
