Get hooked on crochet! Students will learn the basics of crochet ~ proper way to hold a hook and yarn and standard stitches such as chain, clip stitch, single crochet, half-double crochet and double crochet. Students will learn how to read patterns and yarn labels. Date TBD-a class trip to a local yarn store.

Purchase “Learn to Crochet” - a Quick-start guide to success!” Booklet from Leisure Arts. Booklet is available on Amazon or local craft store. Bring lockable stitch markers, scissors, yarn needle (dull tip), crochet hook in US size H (5.00 mm), one skein of medium (worsted) weight yarn (#4 on the yarn label). Suggestion: "I Love This Cotton" or Yarn Bee "Soft & Sleek" sold at Hobby Lobby. Color should be solid and light toned.
