This course is intended for learners without any prior knowledge of the language and/or beginners with very little previous knowledge who would like to gain basic knowledge of German for everyday life, work and travel. It is the beginning course of a series of consecutive courses that build on each other. In this course you will learn to communicate in simple everyday situations and personal interactions, such as: * Greetings and farewells. Saying who you are. Saying where you come from. Asking others who they are and where they come from. * Speaking about family relationships. * Talking about nationality and language. * Speaking and asking about jobs and study. * Talking about leisure pursuits. Stating likes and dislikes. * Getting around and booking a hotel room. Your native German teacher will train you in all four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) and you will learn useful grammatical structures. You will also be introduced to various aspects of the German culture. The lessons are very interactive.
