Mennonites, Amish, & the Pinecraft Community - North Port

Do you ever wonder about the people you see around Sarasota, the men with black hats and flowing beards, and the women in plain colorful dresses? This class will provide some answers with an overview of Amish and Mennonite beliefs and practices. Pinecraft, the Sarasota enclave and winter destination of many conservative Mennonites and Amish, will be part of the presentation. One class session will include lunch at Der Dutchman, paid for by the student.
