Acrylics, Int.   

This class is for those who would like to build on their painting experience and to work on individual projects. Instructor will guide students in improving their skills and knowledge. Instructor will reinforce emphasis on art materials, brush strokes, composition, glazing, and color theory. Each class will include demonstration, discussion and individual instruction in a relaxed atmosphere. Students should bring their own art supplies for each class. Below is a list of recommended supplies.
Supply List: 1) Paints – Liquitex or Golden brand. Do NOT buy Artist Loft brand or Hobby Lobby brand. Titanium White, Payne’s Gray, Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Yellow Medium, Cadmium Yellow light (optional), Naples Yellow, Cadmium Red Medium, Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue (Green Shade), Phthalocyanine Blue (Green Shade), Hooker’s Green or Sap Green, Phthalocyanine Green (Blue Shade), Dioxazine Purple, Vivid Red Orange Light (optional), 2) Color Wheel – any size is ok 3) View Finder – helps with composition and measurements 4) Palette – Recommend Masterson with sponge, lid and paper set 5) Brushes: Selection of Rounds, Filberts and Flats (will discuss). Do not buy craft brushes or hard bristle brushes. 6) Canvas – Flat panels or stretched canvas, 16x20 or smaller, approximately 2-3 for duration of class. 7) Small spray bottle – fill with water 8) Water container
