Sarasota Photography Adventures

Join us as we go afield with others who love photography and make images at different locations around Sarasota and Manatee counties. In each exciting class we will study art elements and photographic compositions as we explore the following genres: abstract, architecture, flowers, food, landscape, nature, portrait and street. Locations vary depending on season but may include nature preserves, businesses, neighborhoods, college campuses, the bay, and Gulf of Mexico. This class is about sensitivity rather than technical camera issues and may be repeated. For trips in the field please wear sturdy walking shoes, carry hydration and something to protect your camera with in case of a rain shower. The meeting spot will be emailed ahead of class. The first 20 minutes is lecture with a Q&A. Feel free to bring questions, and cell phones are always welcome! The last class will be held in the classroom on our ACE campus where we will hold a critique of the work we make during class time. Critiques are fun, friendly, constructive and a great way to learn how to make a better photo.

Please bring your camera with fully charged batteries, SD/Flash Cards with room for memory and your camera manual to classes.  All cameras and cell phones welcome. Please wear sturdy shoes for our excursions and always carry a bottle or two of water or Gatorade to stay hydrated.
