Are you ready to pound the pavement in search of Sarasota's local flavor and characters? If so, please join for a workshop at the Sarasota Farmers Market where we will observe and photograph the genre of Street Photography. We will discuss ethics, legalities and composition and work with our manual controls with respect to shutter speed, aperture and ISO. Patience, attention to detail and quick thinking are skills that we will develop along with quickly capturing photographic opportunities in public spaces.
For trips in the field please wear sturdy walking shoes and bring water and an umbrella. And, of course, don't forget your camera!
Meeting spot will be emailed ahead of class. The first 1/2 hour will be a lecture with a question and answer session and then we will begin shooting either alone, in groups or with the instructor who is by your side for questions or to break out of that 'shy' mode. The next class will be held in the ACE classroom where we will have a discussion and friendly critique. Please upload your favorite images to a FLICKR account so we can pull them up in the classroom.
