Collage & Mixed Media: Scenes of Sarasota (no experience req'd)   

Join us for an exciting mixed media class that will help you expand your artistic skills while creating art based on Sarasota scenery.  Mixed media art combines collage,  such as scrapbook or handmade papers, textured materials, assemblage, acrylic paints, and other mark-making tools, such as oil pastels and drawing materials.  Each week you will learn new techniques to build upon, and have the opportunity to use different acrylic and collage mediums.

For our first class, please bring either a stretched canvas or canvas board (flat), any size between 8x10 to 16x20.  I usually work on 11 x 14.  You can bring any acrylic paint colors you like, and an assortment of brushes. Bring a small container of gel medium (flat or gloss) I use liquitex basics brand.  Bring collage papers such as scrapbook paper, wrapping paper, & collage images you may like to use.  I will have some to use during our 1st class as well. 

NO CLASS AUGUST 12.
 

Register early to avoid disappointment, as classes will fill up quickly!
