Watercolor, Intermediate/Advanced

Everyone with basic painting skills is welcome. Helen has a reputation for patience and approachability. She has over 40 years of experience making her living as a watercolorist and has won innumerable national awards and has been feature in national and international art magazines. Her class will deal with the concepts of negative space, adjacent color interaction, value adjustment, compositional dynamics, layering, brush techniques, and many other topics. You are welcome to work on your own compositions or to follow along step-by-step creating your own versions of the paintings she will use to demonstrate various topics as she starts from a drawing and develops each painting to completion; or you can do both. You are also welcome to bring in your other work for consultation during class. Her approach during class is to alternate between demonstrating and offering individual guidance to each student.
