Wheel Throwing & Handbuilding, Beginner/Advanced Beginner   

Beginners will work on projects to introduce them to basic concepts. This structured class will provide a step-by-step guide through the process of making a successful clay piece by lecture, demo, and lots of practice. Topics include practice making cylinders and bowls, trimming, and making handles, basic shaping, glazing, and firing.

Class includes up to 25 lbs. of clay. Additional clay is available for purchase. There is an upcharge for porcelain clay. All clay and glazes mut be provided by ACE (no outside clay or glazes allowed).

ACE is a teaching pottery studio, not a production studio. The firing schedule and quantities are controlled by the Lab Technician.

Students must bring and wear a mask at all times. 

Bring an apron, a notebook, and a hand towel.

Kiln size determines piece size and firing schedule. Quantities at instructor discretion. Materials and tools provided for use.

Register early to avoid disappointment, as classes will fill up quickly!
