Watercolor, Open Studio (not for beginners)   

This course is designed for watercolor students who have intermediate or advanced experience. It is designed to provide each artist with three hours of uninterrupted time to paint in a supportive, creative environment. Group critiques will be built into each session. Instruction is on an individual basis as needed.

Helen Burkett has worked in oil, acrylic, colored pencil, and other media but her primary medium is watercolor.  She has been teaching intermediate and advanced watercolor at ACE for 10 years, exploring the many aspects of composition, value, line, shape, color, and more. Before that she made her living selling her paintings at the major juried art fairs and teaching watercolor workshops all over the country for 30 years.

In this open class she will be available to answer questions, offer feedback or compositional ideas, and assist each participant to strengthen and advance their painting skills as they work on their own compositions.  Of course those who want to work without external input are also welcome.

Bring your painting supplies to class.
NOT for beginners.   This course is designed for watercolor students who have intermediate or advanced experience.
